Hello Everyone, we are attempting to perform a "Copy Cluster Roles" operation between Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 2012 R2 and we were not sure weather or not the storage Volumes (once brought online through Disk Management) should show a status of ONLINE or RESERVED. Furthermore, should the disk be brought online on one server or both?
We have the following: IBM DS3512 SAN with 3 Volumes (containing Hyper-V VHDs), currently assigned to a 2-server Windows 2008 R2 Cluster. We will be attempting to re-use those volumes with a new 2-server Windows 2012 R2 Cluster, where we intend use the Copy Cluster Roles operation.
Additionally if anyone can help with the following concerns:
1: will the MAC address for the VMs change during the operation?
2: will static IP assignments be lost?
