Hi all,

I'm having trouble accessing unc path to the shared application. application is installed on two server app1 and app2 and they can be accessed using UNC path \\app1\application.exe or \\app2\application.exe.

For fail over purpose we have load balancer device which they gave a VIP name app.

Now the application is accessed using \\app\application.exe. Suddenly accessing the VIP UNC path is failing with event log. During this time I can access \\app1\application.exe works fine.

event if 30809

Source SMBClient

Log Name: Microsoft-Windows-SMBClient/Connectivity

A request timed out because there was no response from the server.

Server name: \app
Session ID:0x0
Tree ID:0x0
Message ID:0x0
Command: Negotiate

Guidance:
The server is responding over TCP but not over SMB. Ensure the Server service is running and responsive, and the disks do not have high per-IO latency, which makes the disks appear unresponsive to SMB. Also, ensure the server is responsive overall and not paused; for instance, make sure you can log on to it.

Could anyone please suggest a solution.
