We are trying to use NLB to cluster our two W2k12R2 RDS Gateway servers. Ideally each server would have 1 Network card on the DMZ say 172.199.199.3 and 172.199.199.2 and their NLB Cluster address would be 172.199.199.1
Once the cluster is enabled these servers can no longer ping or communicate with each other. They can ping and communicate with other devices on the DMZ and even on the Trusted network. Looking at the firewall, traffic is not getting denied there and they are on the same network. How can I enable NLB and have these two servers still communicate without adding a nic on each server on the trusted network?
Maybe I am better off using a different solution than NLB?
